1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
Projects I have done include the Labyrinth project, Athens and Sparta Research project, The Glory that was Greece project, A Museum Exhibit project, and The Wild West project in 6th grade. 2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
Research means to gather information about a topic thoroughly. You find information that relates to the topic and tells more about it. 3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
The Wild West project in 6th grade was a success. I learned a lot of information about my topic, William Faulkner. I was able to make a poster that presented the information really well because of what I had gathered while researching.
1. I think the webbing process helped/did not help me find a topic because:
it helped me see what types of topics I was interested in. It also helped to organize my different ideas about each topic. It really helped overall because it made me more organized when it was time to pick my topic. Teacher Response 3-16-07

The notetaking sheet helped me a lot. It helped me figure out what I really wanted to focus on about my topic. It helped me identify what is a fat question and a skinny question. I thought it was easy to create my fat question because I have a really broad topic. Teacher Response 3-21-07
